What is a photodynamic therapy?

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a two-stage treatment that combines light energy with a dye and tolonium chloride designed to help in oral diseases after light activation. Tolonium chloride is activated by a specific wavelength of light energy from a laser.

PDT helps in inflammation oral diseases like:

  • Caries;
  • Herpes;
  • Alveolitis.

What are the results?

It kills bacteria that destroys the biofilm and cell walls. Reduces the bacterial virulence and stimulates the regeneration of tissue and collagen growth. 99% of the bacteria is killed within a twenty-second therapy.
