A) Crowns

What is a crown?

A crown fills the entire surface of the tooth. When a tooth is built from a polymer material without a healthy tissue, it is likely to be fractured often. Thus, the construction of a crown is advisable. It is also recommended in bite-raising, a change in the form or size of the teeth, aesthetic changes, or patients that are not willing to follow an orthodontic treatment.

What materials are suitable for a crown?

  • Plastic;
  • Metal ceramic;
  • Zircon;
  • Ceramic

What does the treatment look like?

On patient demand, a temporary crown can be built. It is then installed temporarily, until the permanent crown is done. A tooth print is taken, then a temporary crown made of plastic is locally made.

 The tooth is peeled, a tooth print is taken and within a two-week period the permanent crown is ready. The patient must select a desired colour, according to the neighbouring teeth. Once ready, the patient must revisit, in order to install the crown.

B) Bridge

What is a bridge?

Bridges are non-removable constructions that are built when a set of teeth is missing. The built tooth is then connected to the neighbouring teeth.
